Function
This company has more than 50 years of experience within the engineering sector. The company produces electronic solutions for Smart Mobility, Semicon and Connectivity, among others.
You will work in a team of several Component Engineers, and you are the expert when it comes to electronics components. You will work with the components of today and will be involved in the process of the components for the future. In your role as a Component Engineer, you are going to protect the balance between technology, quality, cost, and availability. Beside that you are going to advise designers and clients on which components to use. You are going to be involved in all the steps of the process, from the technology phase, from design and development to the actual production and life-cycle maintenance.
As a Component Engineer you will maintain and extend the expertise in electronics components. You are going to introduce and register electronic components, modify, and distribute component information. You will assess and follow up Product Change Notices of component manufacturers. You will make policies and a long-term strategy with relation to electronic components. It is important to continuously improve and process the procedures.
Requirements
As Component Engineer, you recognize yourself in the following requirements:
· A Bachelor in Electronics
· Knowledge of electronic components, and the drive to keep yourself up to date with the latest developments in your field of expertise
· Starter, or experience within a similar position, hardware engineer is an advantage
· Knowledge of PCBA is an advantage
· Good communication and writing skills in English
