Function
You will be working in the Electronics department at one of our partners who are responsible for designing and producing high-tech machines and machine modules. You will have a central role regarding the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and the integration of PCB’s into the systems. Besides that you will be the point of contact when there are questions regarding the design, testing and integration of PCB’s. In your projects you will work together with the electronics architect and designers of all disciplines (mechatronics, mechanics and software). Next to that you will be responsible for designing hardware specification which includes defining the requirements, PCB schematics design, PCB (layout) routing and building & maintaining the component library. Furthermore you will be responsible for:
- Key component selection (including FPGA)
- Testing and debugging of boards
- Design for testability (DFT)
- Implementing and testing high speed communication links
- Carrying out simulations wrt signal integrity
Requirements
As a PCB-Designer you have good time management and know how to set priorities. You are a team player who is analytical, pragmatic, pro-active and creative. Besides that you have the ambition to broaden your personal development in the technology field. You have basic knowledge about board manufacturing flows and are able to communicate in proficient English and preferably Dutch. Furthermore you have:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in PCB/PCA design
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Designer and Layout or comparable tooling
- Experience with digital and/or analog electronics
- Experience with mechatronics is a plus
