Function
For the role as Software Test Engineer you will be validating the software solutions that have been developed by the team, important in this role is to automate and improve the test environment but where necessary to also do the testing manually. Besides that you will be responsible for testing and delivering the software. You will be working closely together with test engineers in the other teams and the test architect. Furthermore you will:
- Design, build, improve, and maintain test cases and scenarios to increase the software quality
- Determine which tests must be created and executed to qualify the software
- Measure and report test coverage across all applicable coverage dimensions
- Define preventive actions to extend test coverage and improve the qualification strategy
- Work with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements with regarding consistency, testability, and completeness
Requirements
As a Software Test Engineer you are pro-active and are open to debate technical aspects within the team, so together you will come to the best solutions. Next to that you have a strong client-orientation and take ownership. Furthermore you have:
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field (for example Computer Science, Electronics, Informatics)
- More than 2 years of experience in Software Testing
- Experience with C++, Scrum, Agile, Safe and the V-model
