Function
For our client, we are looking for a Test Engineer Engines. Within your role, you will be able to further expand the leading position within drivelines. You will work within the ultramodern Engine Test Centre (ETC). Here, within the Advanced Testing department, you will mainly focus on the activities in the pre-development process of the engines. High-tech tools are used within this process.Within this department, you are able to independently carry out tests in a structured manner. You do all this based on input from Performance Engineers and development projects. Together, you will determine the desired goal, content and additional results, and you will be responsible for timely calibration and uniformity within the measurement environment in which you will be working.
Within this department, you will collect data and provide an interim status report to the Performance Engineers, also providing input for both the optimisation and automation of the control equipment and data acquisition. All this with the aim of achieving a higher level of efficiency.
In your role as Test Engineer Engines, you will report to the Supervisor Advanced Testing.
Requirements
Within this role, we are looking for a profile who has the following competences:
- You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechatronics or similar
- You have ready knowledge of statistical test design and Six Sigma tools with preferably experience in the field of diesel engines
- You have a good command English, both verbally and in writing
- You are enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and hectic environment in which you can cope well with changing priorities
- You are an inquisitive person with strong analytical skills and a hands-on and solution-oriented attitude
